We support operating systems that not even Microsoft and Apple themselves support anymore, such as macOS on PowerPC Macs, and RetroArch being available on Windows OSes as far back as Windows 95. Lakka is a lightweight Linux distribution based on RetroArch that transforms a small computer like a Raspberry Pi into a full blown retrogaming console. But I wanna wait and see if Nintendo releases it for the 35th anniversary on the Switch before I continue. According to Nintendo (via their official website), its technically unlawful to even keep backup copies of games you own. Is there none anywhere or do I need to find the core somewhere else.

RetroArch can run on the usual platforms like Windows, macOS and Linux, but it stands alone in that it can support far more platforms beyond just that. Emulators running on Android installed on the Switch might run better than in retroarch.
